Indian Hume Pipe Bags Massive ₹738 Cr Rajasthan Water Project

Indian Hume Pipe Company Ltd. has secured a major Letter of Acceptance (LOA) valued at ₹738.61 crore (inclusive of GST) from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jaipur, Government of Rajasthan.

Funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), this contract is part of the Rajasthan Rural Water Supply & Fluorosis Mitigation Project (Phase II, Package CP-04/Chouhtan-2). The project involves the design and build execution of a Narmada-based water supply system on a Single Responsibility Project (SPR) basis, which will bring clean water to 275 villages across the Dhorimanna and Chouhtan blocks in the Barmer district.

The mandate features a 24-month execution timeline, followed by a one-year Defect Notification Period and a 10-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening rural water infrastructure.
